Migraines are caused by numerous factors ranging from environmental, lifestyle and food. The bad news about this is that is no known cure for alleviating the pain.
However, there is a bit of a silver lining here. With just as many triggers out there, there seem to be just as many remedies to relieving the pain. You might have to experiment with this a bit, but once you find the right choice for you, all that investigating with have been completely worth it.
I will be the first to admit, there are several routes sufferers can go with medication that seem to help. However, the problem here comes with all the unnecessary side effects that come along with using medications for a long period of time. Because of this, natural remedies have become extremely popular in recent years. After doing research on these alternative routes, there is one that stood out to me. The use of lavender has been shown, in some individuals, to help with migraines. Not only is this remedy shown to help alleviate the pain that comes along with migraines, it is also one that many people can benefit form. Lavender has been shown to help with nausea, anxiety, insomnia, stress and depression, to just name a few.
