Dangerously Delightful Drinks for Halloween

Halloween themed drinks are quite varied. Blood, witch’s brew, even slime are options. We’ll keep the extremities to a minimum though for this post, but we’ll still give your tastebuds quite a masquerade. Dress up your cocktails, relish in your drinks and enjoy these quick’n’easy recipes to bewitch your guests this Halloween!

Eerie Egg Cream

1 large organic free range egg

2 cups almond milk

1/2 cup tofu

2 tablespoons agave nectar or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg/cinnamon

Pour ingredients into a blender and mix until thick.

Cover. Chill for at least 2 hours. Serve cold.

Try half soda water, half egg cream for a bubbly treat.

Use orange extract instead of vanilla for a fruity taste.

The Sip and Cider by Anna Roberts

12 ounces pumpkin ale, like Uinta

1 t nutmeg

1 t cinnamon

3 to 4 T butterscotch sauce, preferably homemade

To make hot Butterbeer: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine beer and 3 to 4 tablespoons butterscotch sauce. Whisk occasionally, and cook until beer just begins to boil. Taste, and adjust with more butterscotch if necessary. Transfer to a mug.

To make cold Butterbeer: Pour cold beer into a blender. As blender is running, carefully pour butterscotch in a steady stream. Blend until just combined. Avoid overblending (which can flatten the beer). Taste, and blend with more butterscotch if necessary. Transfer to a mug.

Pumpkin Shaker

2 oz. Modern Spirits Pumpkin Pie vodka
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
½ oz. simple syrup
Splash of orange liqueur
3 large ice cubes

Combine in blender and pulse until smooth.

Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Drink until happy/full/sleepy.

Candy may be dandy, but liquor is always quicker

Toxic Smoothie

½ cup soy or vanilla almond milk

1 cup frozen pineapple chunks

¼ cup of vanilla yogurt

1 large handful of baby spinach

1 cup frozen mango

Melted Witch Punch by AllRecipes

6 cups water

1 cup stevia

1 (6 ounce) package lime-flavored Jell-O(R) mix

1 (46 fluid ounce) can pineapple juice

2 quarts orange juice

1/2 cup lemon juice

2 (2 liter) bottles chilled lemon-lime soda

Mix water, sugar, and gelatin mix in a large saucepan and bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium and cook at a boil, whisking frequently, until gelatin and sugar have dissolved, about 3 minutes. Stir pineapple juice, orange juice, and lemon juice into gelatin mixture and transfer into resealable plastic bags. Place in freezer until slushy, about 4 hours.

Pour mixture into a large punch bowl and stir in lemon-lime soda; float a black plastic witch hat atop the punch.
