Better than Blondie
You’ve heard it time and time again, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. This is something I truly believe in. A great breakfast will fuel your body and give you the energy to get out there and conquer the world ;) But wait! Before you run the nearest cabinet and grab your favorite box of cereal or pop in a couple frozen waffles, there are a couple keys points to keep in mind when you decide on what you’ll be using to fuel your mornings.
Most of the convenience breakfast foods you may find in your local grocery store aren’t really that beneficial. In fact, they’ll probably be doing more harm than good. The problem here is that most of these products are loaded with an unreal amount of sugar and way too many refined grains. This is only going to set you up for failure for the rest of the day. It’s true, you’ll get a rush of energy right after you eat, but it’ll be followed shortly after with a major crash leaving you feeling tired, hungry and, if you’re anything like me, super grumpy. lol The missing ingredient here is protein! This is what will keep you feeling full for a long time. And, I don’t know about you, but I hate feeling like I’m starving as soon as I get out the door.
After much experimenting in the kitchen, I have come up with one of my favorite go-to breakfasts that I literally eat every morning. Best part is, you can prep this recipe the night before. All that leaves you to do is pop it in the oven while you’re morning coffee is brewing :D Hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!
